Some more from the .......... Past.

Well after a busy Day I am back here to tell you a little bit more about the history of where cosmetology came from.  Cosmetology is a term used to encompass everything about hair, nails and esthetics.  My specialty of course is the hair part.....when I went to school and did a three year apprenticeship, I did do a bit of esthetics, facials, manicure and pedicures.  My passion was the hair part but back then I was not as sure of this as I am now!!!!!!

It all started in the Ice Ages if you can believe it or not!!!!  They have found evidence that hair cutting and hairstyling were practiced in some form back then!!!! Wow artists back in the day........  
Cosmetology came from the Greek word KOSMETICOS,  meaning "skilled in the use of cosmetics."  Simple but effective implements or tools were used  from the dawn of history, from sharpened flints, oyster shells, or bones.   So as u see we have always looked for ways improve they way we look or enhance it.
