Back we go........... PART 2

Well here I am with the 2ND PART.....
Back to CHINA........the land of CHOP STICKS AND THE GREAT WALL........ also the inventors of  GUNPOWDER, and  NOODLES........  MARCO POLO went to China and brought NOODLES back to Italy!!!!!!!
CHINA was pretty innovative for it's TIME....... don't you think?????

The CHOW DYNASTY, (1100 B.C)  ONLY ROYALTY wore SILVER & GOLD!!!!!! ROYAL COLORS......... In this early time in Chinese History, staining and tinting the nails was tied to SOCIAL STATUS!!!!                                                                                                                                                   If regular people like you and I were caught doing this!!!!! heaven forbid...... wearing the royal colors....... OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!!!!!! VERY SCARY!!!!!!  So you were killed, that was the punishment.

Well that's it from me today,
Be bloggin more,
TOMORROW,
Kelly.

Back we go........... PART 1

HISTORY.........., it is a part of all of us.
The same for HAIR!!!!!  I am amazed at what people did and how far it went back....TO THE CAVEMAN!!!!!
Today the Chinese, these guy's were also WAY AHEAD of their time, but sorry guys not in the HAIR DEPARTMENT!!!!It was the EGYPTIANS!!!

DID you know?????!!!!!
The Romans followed the EGYPTIANS.  The military commanders........STAINED THEIR LIPS AND NAILS.  Men wore make-up back then!!!!!

Now back to THE CHINESE........
If you go back to the SHANG DYNASTY (1600 B.C.)  CHINESE ARISTOCRATS,  DID the Same thing as the EGYPTIANS.......not with HENNA.........but by rubbing a mixture of GUM ARABIC, GELATIN, BEESWAX and EGG WHITES.  This also tuned the nails ebony or crimson.

Well I will be back tomorrow.....with the rest.
Talk to you then,
Kelly.

Fantastic........Elastic

Today I am showcasing another hairstyling aid in the Osis hair styling hair product line.  It is called  Elastic Fix..... Hairspray No.1 light control.  Now I know hairspray to some is just hair spray, but to me it is probably the most important of the styling aids........ the reason why I say this is because it does finish off the look that you are trying to attain.  Hairspray, hairspray well what can I say.  Out of all the Osis styling aids this is the one that I have used the longest.  It is not to strong so you cannot get the brush through it and I find it does not leave a residue either after you shampoo your hair,  it is water soluble.  In the days gone by hairsprays were just not very good.... I mean your hair would not budge but other than that.... and I have used a couple to say the least!!!!!  When you would shampoo hair and the customer would use hair spray, when you wet the hair to shampoo it would leave a build up on the hair and the more you used to more build up....... yuk!!!!.  It was really not pleasant and try getting a comb through it!!!!! oh boy!!!  Any way technology has come a long way and I really think this product is the best!!!!! Like I said not to sticky...no residue.   I always get the 500ml can.  The can is normally 300 ml but they have specials sometimes, that's when u get the 500ml can at the price of a 300 ml.

Well this is what I do when I use the spray:
I finish my styling and then I spray.  Like I have said before, start slowly and layer till you get the desired effect.
All Osis products are sold in all or most salons. Have fun making your hair elastic!!!!!

Tell you more tomorrow bye,
Kelly.

Conservative.............not!!! with Mess Up

WELL I am back.....after being sick....Here I go again, with another awesome product.  This one is called Mess Up,  matt gum, 100ml by Osis.  It is just what it says... matt!!!!! and does it ever make it matt!!!!!!  It does not leave a sticky residue on your fingers,  I tried it,  I rubbed it in between my fingers and not sticky at all!!!!   That is why I like the products so much even the strongest control are not heavy or sticky   This product gives your hair a rough look ....messy look....a lot of texture....makes hair look chunky.  Wow totally amazing!!!!!! Oh by the way,  the strength of hold is.... number 2, medium control.   You can use it on all hair lengths.  Anything with layers and you can use it on individual layers to give it that chunky look.  I do not know about You guys I like that look of layers that look separated.

Well this is what I do:
I blow dry my hair, or style my hair.... pardon me!!!!! and then I rub the product in my fingers.  I use my fingers because I like that I have more control than using the palm of my hand, I also like that separated look with my hair.... so I pull the strands I want,  between my index finger and middle fingers and thumb and pull from roots to end and get the chunky separated look I like, but like I have said before, experiment....  have fun with product......  do not be afraid of it!!!!!! you can wash it out and start all over again.  Sorry to all those that have time constraints!!!!!!

Anyway mess up your hair I do, and love it!!!!!  I live to be messed up!!!!  You can buy these products in most salons. Here's the link to see what it looks like:http://www.beautybay.com/haircare/osis/messupmattgum/.
Well enjoy the journey with me, Talk to you again tomorrow!!!!!
Bye for now Kelly.

Once Apon a Time............In Egypt, Part2,

Hey Guys it me again with the next installment of some more history.  Back to Egyptian times.........As I said the last time back as far as 3,000 B.C., Egyptians were using things in nature for cosmetics and hair.  minerals, insects, berries used as make up for the eyes, lips and skin, and henna for hair and nails.  It stains nails a red brown color and also is like a semi- permanent hair color, no peroxide.  I have used henna and it is very natural last about 6-8 washed if I remember correctly.
The were the first to infuse essential oils from all kinds of plant life for  perfumes to use in purification purposes.  Queen Nefertiti(1400 B.C) and Cleopatra(50B.C).  These 2 women were very extravagant in the make up.  Kohl on the eyes and stained fingers with henna.  Cleopatra even erected a personal cosmetic factory next to the dead sea.
The Ancient Egyptians also made Kohl for the eyes.  It is a mixture of ground galena, sulfur and animal fat.  It is said to protect their eyes from the glare of the sun.
Well that's it from me today enjoy the journey.
Bye for now,
Kelly.

Once apon a time in..............Egypt Part 1

Hello again..........I am back.   I will be talking about the History of where hairstyling, cutting, ect and the who, where and what of how it came about.
Think about the Egyptians............ very innovative.......... ahead of their time to say the least!!!!!!   Their water systems, in how they built  their pyramids,  how they buried the dead(mummification).  They used ramps and leavers, ropes ans beams for ships , they wrote on paper made from papyrus and also made jars for exporting. Even in  ships and light houses.
They were the first in the beauty field.  They were very extravagant as u can see in all that they did.  Even the deceased........  It started as early as 3,000 B.C.  Personal beautification was very important to them even in religious ceremonies!!!!! Well this is just the fist part about the Egyptians,  I will have the rest for u tomorrow, in part 2!!!!!!

Wow history it plays such an important role, to know where we or something comes from, very exciting.  Join me on my journey!!!!!!!!  See you here tomorrow.

Bye for now,
Kelly

Let it .....Shine.

Now for a truly amazing...... another product from Osis.   Introducing the STAR of the show.......Shine Duster.  Truly amazing, awesome.  The best for hair that is fine and limp.  Also for other hair types as well.   Shine Duster is a texturising  power or cream.  It is soft as velvet as well, similar to Dust It,  only this give shine and iridescence........  It is a powder that when rubbed between the palms of the hands it becomes a cream......True innovation on the part of the people who make it.
Thanks so much for thinking of us!!!!!!!!!!!
There is movement in your hair when you use this, it is not sticky nor does it make the hair greasy.  It gives limp hair a healthy shine,  not weighing it down!!!!!  The hair looks natural and moves easily.

This is what I do:
I finish styling my hair and then I rub a good amount of Shine Duster in my hands.  Then I run it through my hair from roots to ends.  I have used it for on my hair when I wanted the sleek look or when I want my hair more messy.  It works on both.

Like all the other Osis products this one can also be found in most if not all salons.  Enjoy shining like a star!!!!!!!
